Check out our 3 week program graduates! 🎓

These dogs came into training due to a variety of behavioral issues such as:

•jumping and mouthy behavior
•pulling on leash
•reactivity
•fear based behavior
•low confidence
•inability to settle
•high energy/arousal
•grooming/handling issues
•poor house & crate behavior

All of these dogs also lacked obedience and focus around distractions. We address the overall mindset of each dog as well as improving their obedience.

All these dogs have made huge progress these past few weeks and we are so proud of how far they have come! Congrats everyone! 🐾💙

Check out Poppy and Wylie working on their impulse control and focus around distractions!

We vary the level of distraction with puppies, as some have better focus than others. If the distraction is too much for the puppy (they keep breaking command) then we would back off to help make the session successful.

It’s good to start this type of training with puppies, but we can’t expect them to have the same level of impulse control that an adult dog would have.

If you are in a situation where your puppy gets overwhelmed by a distraction and its too much for them to handle, create more distance from that distraction and try to refocus them with food or a toy until the distraction passes.

Our puppy program includes obstacle course training which is great for a puppy’s confidence and body awareness. We want puppies to gain confidence going over, under, and through different obstacles.

Get your puppy used to walking over different surfaces, climbing up onto high obstacles and going under or through things. If you don’t have access to dog-specific equipment, there are many items available around your home or at a local park that would stimulate this type of training!

Challenge your puppy, but make it fun and keep the training sessions short and positive!💙🐾

Check out Wes working on his public access training and service dog tasks! 🐕‍🦺

Wes has been trained as a mobility assistance service dog. He has learned tasks such as bracing, retrievals, tug/pull and deep pressure therapy. He starts his placement this week with local resident in South Carolina!
