Lydia Bittner-Baird

Lydia Bittner-Baird has worked professionally in different realms that have taken her around the globe but has always had a deep love for dogs. With the forced break of the pandemic, Lydia decided to dedicate her professional life to the pursuit of bettering the lives of dogs and their human companions.

Leaving behind her photography business, and leaning into her dance training as a graduate of Juilliard, she sought out opportunities to dive into the physical discipline of dog training.

After walking, pet sitting, and working as a kennel technician, Lydia volunteered as a service dog puppy raiser for Love in the Lead and found a mentor in head trainer Rebecca Golian.

In late 2021 Lydia joined the Love in the Lead team as an intern. After 4 months of hands on work training dogs and studying the art of dog training, she was offered a full time position as an assistant trainer!
